A patchouli heavy, sweet perfume, a fruitchouli, where the fruit is guava and pear, is tied to a certain era in perfumery and it just never was possible for Gucci by Gucci to become a timeless icon. The patchouli is wildly noticeable here, so if you hate patchouli; it's pretty much guaranteed you'll hate this. I would much prefer and recommend Aramis Tuscany - so much better in this regard, it’s a proper fragrance when compared with this.

Due to the moderate sillage, I can just about wear this fragrance anywhere professionally, casually or intimately. I didn't think I would like this when seeing the notes, but I got a bottle in a swap and its fast becoming a favorite. I do tend to avoid wearing it too often since it reminds me so much of my mother (it's her signature fragrance) but it is a lovely perfume. I have a decant from generous Fragrantician and had no expectations one way or another, other than her reassurance that it is gorgeous, and that it is. A very professional and inventive construction by Gucci but left for men who celebrate subtlety and like their fragrance at a distance, not for the man who seeks attention, recognition or acknowledgement.

I think on the late 00's seems like Rachel Zimmerman was THE MODEL to put as the face of that 70s heroin inspiration diva. The first time I sprayed it on myself, I got a great masculine vibe that felt very refined, professional and worldly. Finally the bottle, it's just such a dope looking bottle with the weird pin like thing on top, I love it.

I wore the sample for two days, and I plan on getting a travel sized bottle in the coming weeks so I can spray it on for nights out. Unfortunately, I have to agree with a good many people here that while Gucci By Gucci PH smells great, it has a synthetic quality about it that just doesn't feel right.I can spray 3-4 sprays on the back of my hand and it is a skin scent within 15 mins, and gone within an hour. I know if one miserable day i cant find Gucci by Gucci anywhere else anymore, i can always pick up Gucci Oud to replace it and blow out my sorrows. First when I sprayed this, It smelled very boring and mainstream but after an hour it smells really different. Be it a distinctive fragrance to make a bold statement or light and clean notes for everyday wear, our selection of eau de parfum and eau de toilette is great for a variety of occasions.I really do enjoy this bottle but I tend to run out of juice pretty fast as this is my second bottle. Ultra smooth tobacco and patchouli scent this one is, just like Moods, but with less leather and moss. The bottle is nice; Gucci is the master of clunky, heavy glass bottles and this one doesn't disappoint. Gucci Pour Homme is my absolute favorite men's cologne on the market today--because of its "perfectly modernized" 70s/80s scent! Since this is discontinued, I'm wondering if my juice went bad because I have tried this with sprays to the wrist and projection and longevity is weak to my nose.

Being that the scent has been described many times below, I will just add that this scent is very masculine in a very good way. I wonder if there's something wrong with my sample, or this fragrance just doesn't work with my body chemistry at all. It lasts for good 8hrs on me, give or take which a feat in itself since nothing lasts that long on me.
