Welcome to the Anglican Parish of Kidlington with Hampton Poyle, in the Diocese of Oxford.
Kidlington is one of the largest villages in England. Although only six miles north of Oxford, parishioners are proud of our community life and our independence from the city. The village is served by two churches: the mediaeval Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, at the eastern side; and The Church of St John the Baptist at the southern end. Separated from Kidlington by the meadows of the River Cherwell is Hampton Poyle, a hamlet served by another church dedicated to St Mary the Virgin.

5pm at St Mary's Kidlington. Evening Service in Bflat (Stanford), Anthem I saw the Lord (Stainer).
Our churches were built for all in the community, and have been used day in and day out for close to 800 years. The doors of the two St Mary's are open each day and you are welcome to come in and enjoy the ancient spaces. There are many interesting things to see. The chapel at St John's is open each weekday morning for quiet prayer. Use the quiet spaces to sit, think, pray, light a candle, and listen for God — or join us at any of our services.
We seek to serve the communities of Kidlington and Hampton Poyle for their own sake ... to respond to God's call to recognize and establish the Kingdom of God in the minds and lives of local people ... by faith and trust in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
