LENT GROUPS
We will be running three Lent Groups "Broken": on six Mondays starting 24th Feb, 2-4pm at Felicity's house. 'Broken' a six session course based on the BBC TV series about a RC priest in a tough estate. The series is gritty and raises tough questions about human brokenness and the possibility of faith. It contains issues of poverty, abuse, mental illness, addiction, truth telling, suicide, anger, reconciliation in the context of faith ... and will not be everyone's cup of tea. It is not for the faint hearted.

"Broken But Beautiful": The Making Group will respond to Biblical themes of brokenness through some of the Gospel encounters of Jesus, and creating five installations for the church as our response. We shall be meeting on Mondays in Lent starting on 2nd March, 7:45pm, in the Refectory. If you are interested please see Rosemary Meara.

Prayer, As Jesus Taught It: A daytime course on Prayer using the Pilgrim series, and led by Martin. Thursdays 10.30am, St John's Lady Chapel.

Lenten Compline: Candle lit service in the chancel of St Mary's Kidlington with a reflection at 8.45pm followed by Compline at 9pm. The theme of the talks will be Prayer. Led by John Morris. Every Sunday in Lent (begins 1st March) and every day in Holy Week.

THANK YOU to all
the volunteers who helped make the CTK meal a success on Wednesday 22nd Jan. I think the electricity/gas usage in Kidlington must have gone sky-high with all those wonderful people cooking chilli & jacket potatoes, not to mention the lovely puds that appeared! Many appreciative comments on these! Then of course, all hands on deck with the clearing up! Finally, thank you from the CTK to all who bought tickets, and to Susie, who gave us an inspiring talk. We look forward to seeing more of her in the future.
HUB CHILDREN'S GROUPS
A request for help. Would anyone be interested in knitting some new dolls clothes/outfits for the play groups dolls? If you are interested and can help, please contact Donna by email: ddovergriffin@gmail.com or contact the Parish Office on 375611.
FUND RAISING UPDATE
After a busy couple of months launching the 2020 year a snapshot of the fund raising total is £12322. Thank you everyone.

GATEHOUSE COLLECTION 27th Feb
Gatehouse contributions were down a bit at the end of January so could we please make a big effort with the next collection, which is on February 27th. If everyone bought one extra item when out shopping - it doesn't have to be something big or expensive - it would make such a difference! Please see the list on the refectory notice board. Thank you! Sarah.
