DATA PROTECTION IN THE PARISH
Along with every other organisation in the country we are reviewing our practices and policies about holding data. In order to communicate with you it will soon be the law that we need your consent to hold your data (name, address, phone number and email or any other relevant details). We are therefore asking each person to sign a consent form and these forms are available today. It would greatly help us if you would sign a form straight away after the service and hand it back. This is the first stage in our strategy for reaching everybody. It's is a big job to reach every single person so we really appreciate your help in doing this. If you would like any help or personal explanation do feel free to ask Margaret Day, Jill Buckeldee or Felicity and we will be happy to explain more. Don't panic - its quite straightforward really!

Looking Ahead

2020 PROJECTS UPDATE
St Mary's new Refectory facilities. We have now received seven expressions of interest to our tender document for new hall facilities for St Mary's. This brief was based on the comments from interested parties in our consultation period. All the architects qualified to work with historic buildings. The 2020 projects committee will shortlist and interview architects in the week beginning July 16th, probably on Thursday and Friday 19th and 20th. These interviews are open to anyone who would like to be there and listen / watch. The 2020 projects team will be the interviewing panel but everyone can come and we will take your comments into consideration. So please hold these dates in your diaries if you might be interested.

JOYFUL NOISE from September 7th
A new monthly service for adults, babies and children 'Make a joyful noise to the Lord!' (Psalm 98.4). Building on our links with local families through baptisms and the Hub groups, in September we plan to start a church service for babies, children and their parents/carers. This will be on Friday mornings at St Mary's, starting on Friday September 7th, initially on a monthly basis. I am forming a team of people to help with planning and running the sessions - anything from telling bible stories, songs, simple craft, themes, refreshments, chatting to parents and carers, etc. Please contact Laura if you can help, or if you would like to know more, and please keep this initiative in your prayer
