Sydney Pollack adapted this legal-thriller into a feature film starring Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. That being said, this is the first John Grisham book that didn't feel like he was simply trying to end the story in a few pages or so and trying to tie whatever loose ends in whatever way possible.
