About this deal

We really enjoyed how accurate the scales were, as they allowed us to add all of our flour, butter, sugar, and eggs to the bowl without the need to put them in a separate measuring device beforehand. We also didn’t try any especially heavy batters, where some machines may start to churn a bit – but, at least, it coped very well with a sticky dough. More expensive mixers tend to have a sturdier build quality to ensure they’ll be whisking and beating for decades to come. This stand mixer is stunning and sturdy, but the motor is a little lacking compared to some of the others in our guide. There’s a blue light around the speed dial that tells you when the machine is on and the head is locked in place and ready to use.

It slid on easily enough but every time the mixer head was raised, both sections had to be removed, making scraping down the bowl more of a chore. The mixer is great for smaller kitchen counters, because it's lightweight and can slot under kitchen cabinets with ease. The whisk attachment also worked wonders to whip up a fluffy and creamy frosting with ease, while the splatter guard does a fantastic job to keep mess at bay.

If you enjoy baking but don't need the best stand mixer for batch bakes, the KitchenAid Artisan Mini is a great choice for you. With 1000W and 10 Speed Settings, you can Whisk, Beat and Knead ingredients with ease, and with no mess thanks to the Plastic Splash Guard. Despite being in a smallish box (compared to other mixers), the Russell Hobbs Emma Bridgewater Stand Mixeris surprisingly big. It doesn’t have any flashy features, but maybe that’s exactly what you need from a mixer: decent and compact. Another plus is the mixer’s generously sized five-litre bowl, which easily accommodated bread dough, cake batter or egg whites without throwing anything out.

But the brand prides itself on the fact that you’re not just paying for looks when purchasing a retro-inspired piece for your stylish space. This is just a beautiful personalised, Robin mug in memory of my sweet rescue, Westie, Harry whom we lost recently. We go to lengths to get hands-on experience with products, so that we can recommend you (or steer you away from) products in good faith. Its performance couldn’t be faulted – our sugar and butter creamed together quickly, and the batter looked well aerated.
