About this deal

The character of Don Dorcha was remade from a simple warrior and rival clan leader to an undead, demonic, humanoid/cyborg hybrid with new supernatural powers. If you had to list the cultural definers of contemporary Irishness, you'd include Seamus Heaney, Van Morrison, maybe The Pogues and definitely Michael Flatley.

Flatley's return to performance in Feet of Flames Taipei in 2009 marked the first step to his return in the show. with Michael Flatley – 28 June to 30 December: Ireland premiere, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand

As the story unfolds, we get some nice female performances from Caroline Gray as heroine Saoirse and Andrea Kwern as bad girl Morrighan the seducer (boo!). In 2014, Flatley created Dangerous Games, a revised spinoff of Lord of the Dance. While maintaining 50% of the numbers from the original show, new numbers were introduced, featuring dancing robots, new songs, new music by Gerard Fahey, and rescores of Ronan Hardiman's pieces. The show is due to open on Saturday 10 October 2015 and is scheduled to run through to 3 January at the Playhouse Theatre in London’s West End.

Multi award-winning, multi record-breaking T he Lord of Dance - Dangerous Games, transfers to the Playhouse Theatrefrom the Dominion Theatre. Partly for the sheer sexiness of all that leg action, partly because of the music and the fact it still referenced the dances that many of us learnt at a tender age.

About Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games Tickets

Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is directed by legendary Irish dancer Michael Flatley and tells the mythical story of a Lord who must fight dark forces threatening a futuristic world. The production contains dance, live music composed by Gerard Fahy, singing, acrobatics and even holographs. These cast members were on Flatley's return tour throughout Europe and are on the 3D film which was later released on DVD and Blu-ray. With new music by composer Gerard Fahy, this ‘extraordinary and supremely stirring show’ (Daily Telegraph) combines the best of tradition with all the excitement of new music and dance.

Michael: “We never ever thought we’d get far…it doesn’t get bigger than the London Palladium and we’re delighted and honoured to be here. The show has changed quite dramatically since the beginning. There are probably four numbers that are the same. Those are relatively unchanged. The rest of the show is completely new.” The eponymous number of the show ("Lord of the Dance") begins with a two pairs of males accompanying a pair of females in an introductory dance before the eponymous character dances to the shows' upbeat theme. The number ends with the title character being joined by his troupe. Michael: “A couple of things, first of course the night my wife said yes, the night my son was born. Other than that… Being on stage at the Palladium, when the lights go down, when I come on, it is going to be all about that moment. It used to be my dream was to dance in Madison Square Garden in New York, a football stadium, Wembley Arena, and I am delighted I managed to do most of them. Now I bring young stars, and stars they are. My happiness now is to watch them dance.” Q: [To Nadine] How does it feel to be part of the show? With all the visceral precision and thrills of the original, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games features new staging, new costumes and mesmerising new choreography. It's perfect for people aged five or over and anyone who adores the sheer, raw emotional power of dance.
