About this deal

Since we created our string light poles a few years ago, they’ve come out with some great ones you can buy. Figure out if you’re using your house for part of this or if you need to string the lights using only the posts as shown above. If the house isn’t involved, then you’ll need 3, 4, or more posts to make the area that you’re stringing lights in. I am wondering if you have any pictures of your parents project with the use of concrete to set the PVC pipes. Since I too live in Seattle I wonder if they capped their PVC pipes in winter so they do not fill up with rainwater. If so, what did they use for a cap? You can try shoving the metal pipe into the ground without. For most areas, it will be difficult to shove a metal pipe 1.5-2 feet into the ground. You want the poles to go deep enough that they are sturdy enough for the weight of the pole and lights. Let us know how your project turns out if you end up doing this!

Furthermore, laying a carpet on the ground will prevent people from walking on damp, muddy ground. If it doesn't rain, you may throw a carpet on the ground to place food, furniture, and other sensitive items. We think about how the product will affect our life and how it will make us feel to use it. Comfort If you have outdoor rated lights, they sometimes also have little holes in the line to make this easier.Isn't that the first thing you should do before going on any camping trip? If you travel in the rain, though, you need be cautious since not all tents are waterproof. Your trip will be ruined if your tent isn't watertight.

Actually, you want to test your lights first. We assumed they all worked but found out after turning them on, that one part was burnt out. We wanted our poles to be at least 8’ tall to allow for the lights to swag and hang down without hitting our taller friends in the head. They’re going 2’ into the ground, thus 10’ long poles. Directions 1. Dig the holes for the posts. Many of these light pole kits come with poles and hooks, so you don’t have to worry about getting them from different locations. Thanks for the great post! Did you have to glue or otherwise secure the end cap onto the pole? Wondering how snug/secure the fit to the pole is. Once the posts are in, you can use your ladder to go to the top of the post to screw in the C hooks. Ideally 2-3 inches down from the top of the post is a good spot for your hooks. Sturdy and durable】The string light poles is very strong,we have tested it many times,it will not bend and deform, and can be used for a long time.We suggest you to add concrete for reinforcement at the soil of the fork/base range to avoid loosening of the land due to rain, while making the pole shake.

I wanted to use this to hang bistro lights at my wedding around a 16′ x 24′ area. I see that your lights were 72′. How many poles did you need to string this length?Once the Quikrete is set up, lay the pole over on its side to place the PVC cap over the open end at the top. This will prevent rain water from filling your PVC pipe. I did have to paint my PVC caps with gray paint to make them match. I already had some, but a can of gray spray paint is all you would need.
