If there is resistance from hard food like carrots, start the chopping process with short pulls. Powerful & Versatile: Perfect for slicing vegetable salads, chopping nuts, herbs, veggies, pesto, hummus, salsa, guacamole, boneless meat, and more. And that doesn't mean it takes a lot of use to produce a grove. One appeared after just the first use! The chopper comes with 2 attachments: a chopper attachment (for chopping foodstuffs), and a mixer attachment (for mixing/blending) foodstuffs.You may need to chop the veg a little bit so it fits (and then don’t overfill it). But it makes such a big difference. The only flaw I've found so far after just a week of use (near daily use as i use it to chip up scraps for compost), is that the plastic is SOFT and if you pull the rope down it will wear a groove in the lid!
