The band and the villagers rise to meet the challenge. They fight fiercely, and once more Raneko holds, until Hortuk enters the fray. Flanked by a guard of loyal mercenaries, he is unstoppable – a lion among wolves – and many fall to the might of his halberd, which never ceases in its deadly advance. Then, a rumble from the depths. A swell of abnormal proportions. Impossible jaws emerge as Sartonian screams fill the air. Dragons descend from the skies; ascend from the depths. Hope. King Wakian looked across his glorious city. For generations his people had lived here. Against all odds, they had built a home; Against all odds, they had prospered. It was hope that had let Sartonia reach its height… but hope was fading. The resources in the Shimmering Atlant weren’t limitless, and the Arrandion Cell alone could no longer sustain them.

When we think about the core Priest fantasy, the first thing that comes to mind is healing. But, traditionally, healing is not as strong or flexible as other class’s core fantasies, like damage or even Armor. Our first decision was whether we wanted to abandon that identity or lean into it and make it better. We decided that Priests healing is so iconic that we owed it to Priest’s fans to make healing work. Don’t worry, I’ll introduce you to Tovolar himself soon enough. We’re still making the rounds of his posse. Throughout the Year of the Wolf, we’ll be focusing our efforts on making Hearthstone and Battlegrounds the best they can be, with more new cards and more Battlegrounds updates than ever before! We even have a few surprises planned for later in the year, including a Wild-focused update and a fun new way to play with older cards. But first, let’s take a look at this year’s Core Set. Core Set Updates I’m gonna be honest, Kessig Naturalist’s art wins it so many points. Look at that little wolf pup. Tell me that you wouldn’t do anything for that cute face. Go on, lie to me. So, instead, we created a new keyword to make healing more flexible and rewarding: Overheal. Cards with Overheal have an effect that is triggered when they are healed over their max health. Overheal is a new evergreen class mechanic, like Combo is for Rogue, meaning that you should expect to see Overheal cards throughout the year, and for years to come. It also means that we will continue printing healing cards for Priest, including some cards that are intended to interact with the new Overheal keyword.The battle is met. The fighting fierce. As we prepare for the launch of Festival of Legends, it seemed like Priest could use a tune up with this Core Set update. Our process for this type of tune up was to look at the class’s core mechanics, adjust those core mechanics to promote play patterns we like, cut support for play patterns that aren’t working, and re-align themes and mechanics going forward. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good card. It’s just not quite good enough to be considered among the best werewolves. It gets points for running with the wolves, though. Personally...while I'm a nerd the loves a good series of charts and tables, I appreciate the whole 'aaaaaah whatever' aspect of trade goods in D&D. Makes it so my players don't look at the charts and say, "hey... you know we could make a lot more money opening up a bakery in the Capital than we could killing goblins. Let's do that!" The front side gives a creature a big boost with +4/+4 until the end of the turn when it enters the battlefield or reverts to human form. Ulrich, Uncontested Alpha beats your opponent’s creatures into submission (or, more accurately, punts them right into the graveyard) when the true werewolf comes out. #2. Huntmaster of the Fells / Ravager of the Fells

When Eiko was young, a viking raiding party razed the town of Tidomon to the ground. The residents were gathered together and boarded up inside the town hall – all except Eiko. She remembers being hidden within the walls of their small home when raiders came door to door. She remembers her mother fighting violently, striking the assailant in hopes to draw the focus away from her daughter’s hiding place. She remembers watching as the town hall was set aflame. The sounds that followed still greet her on sleepless nights. But no image remains as strong in her mind as the man in the lion’s armor; his recently scarred face glowing in the flames, and in his eyes: pride. Oh, and did I mention that this werewolf offers you full control over its transformation? #8. Kruin Outlaw / Terror of Kruin Pass You know who Tovolar is, right? No? Well, you’ll be well acquainted by the time we’re done here today. Soon, Standard will be saying goodbye to the expansions from the Year of the Gryphon: Forged in the Barrens, United in Stormwind, and Fractured in Alterac Valley. After the rotation, Standard will consist of Voyage to the Sunken City, Murder at Castle Nathria, March of the Lich King, Festival of Legends, and the updated Core Set. This year, we have a big shakeup for the Core Set, with over 70 cards being swapped out for new ones!The front side makes it night right away if you control at least three wolves/werewolves at the start of your upkeep, at which point you can transform any human werewolves you control. You’re going to want to toss some protection on this card because it spells problems for your opponent and isn’t beefy enough to be hard to deal with. The waves crashed against the shore. The primary XMC connector (P15) is reserved for serial links, power, and other pre-defined functions. The secondary XMC connector (P16) provides user-defined pins which can include video I/O.
