About this deal

The flashlight's body surface is covered with 270-degree silicone for a more comfortable and stable grip. With the hidden lanyard hole design, the device can be easily stored, carried, and used on a regular basis. Smaller in size but still powered like a beast, the Marauder mini is a must-have for search & rescue, hunters, and all outdoor enthusiasts. The following runtime shows the highest output in Throw mode, in Candela, not lumens. This is probably a more important datapoint than lumens for this setting. Olight includes a nice stretchy holster for the Marauder Mini. It fits in one direction and the light shouldn’t be used while inside.

Here is the list with most of the high-power flashlights we reviewed in this category (Category: high-power soupcan sized flashlights). Flashlight (and Link) Because I did so many runtimes, I also did a bunch of charge tests, too. The charging indicator on the charge base is red while charging and green when charging is complete. It’s noteworthy that the indicator turns green WAY before the termination I’m displaying below. The cell seems to keep charging after the indicator turns green, so I just let it. In every test, the final voltage was 4.17V, so it doesn’t seem to be overcharging. Here are a number of runtime tests. I tested the highest 3 modes for flood and throw but didn’t test any of the color modes for runtime. After quite a bit of trouble, trial, and error, I learned that you can actually turn off the proximity sensor. So I repeated the test, and these are the numbers. They are slightly lower than done by the ceiling bounce test. I still trust these more than the ceiling bounce test I did before. Mode

Sometimes, features are a problem. One of the things I never encountered before is a proximity sensor inside a flashlight. I am usually not very fond of this type of feature, but I actually appreciate it, because it’s a safety feature. It reduces the output when an object is close to the flashlight. This could be a person, but it could also be your bag!

All About Mobile Gaming

I can’t wait to talk about this flashlight. If you’re impressed with anything build by Lumintop, Fenix, Acebeam and the like, you will definitely be impressed with this one. Take the following graph with a grain of salt. It was using the ceiling bounce technique, but they should represent the actual runtime graph at least a bit. It's a powerful rechargeable dual-beam LED flashlight with both flood and throws. Following the Marauder 2's lens design and composed of 9 LEDs surrounding the center, it enables seven brightness levels that provide 200-7000 lumens. A large round LED has been added to the center, offering a 600-meter spotlight beam.

There is yet 1 more switch, and that one is for switching between flood and throw. The center LED is actually used separately from the LEDs on the edge of the flashlight. I like that idea to have this option. The single LED has a much longer runtime as well. But anyway, the flood/throw switch is located below the knob. It’s pretty easy to operate in the dark. The Olight Marauder Mini is a miniature version of the popular Marauder 2, with a more compact body yet still offering a powerful output of 7000 lumens at Level 7 in floodlight mode, which will have a timed downshift of 2 minutes to prevent the LED from overheating. Also above is the light beside my custom engraved TorchLAB BOSS 35, an 18350 light. I reviewed the aluminum version of that light in both 35 and 70 formats. You can, however, deactivate the proximity sensor, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless your application really gets screwed up by the sensor. Anyway, to deactivate the sensor do the following Olight must have considered several things during their research. Throw and Flood. The Marauder 2 can do both, but not at the same time. You either get extreme brightness with a very wide beam, or you get throw with a very narrow, but rectangular beam. For Spotlight lumens, I used the integrating sphere for this. My measurements were quite a bit higher than the specifications. Marauder 2 Spot: Levels

Note: The above data is measured in lab conditions, therefore results may vary due to environmental and heat dissipation conditions. The active thermal management system will decrease the output in Level 7, 6, 5, 4 and 3 in flood, Level 7, 6, 5 and 4 in spot and Level 4 & 3 in RGB to protect the LEDs from overheating. This is not the end of the world. It’s very nice that it’s even possibleto change the cell, even if we’re required to buy one directly from Olight. I am also pleased that this light runs on a singlelithium-ion cell; any configuration of series or parallel just adds more complexity than I often like to fool with. (That said, cells in series or parallel is exactly why a light like the bigger Marauder 2 has the cells built in…) Unlike the Marauder 2 (or “M2”), this little loop does not seem to flip out and in the photo above is as exposed as it gets. It’s quite interesting that the TIR optics of the outer LEDs and the center LED with the convex shape are all made of 1 piece of plastic.
