As a sequel, this book is FANTASTIC. Like, this series does not undergo the sequel slump. You all know I'm scared of sequels. Well, this is a great sequel! And an awesome book, in general. I'm going to skip the part about how I teared up when I first saw the book at BEA and move on to something else now, because nobody really wants to hear about that. The plot just keeps getting better and better and I love all the character bonds in this book. There were times when I cried and other times when I laughed. It all evens out and there were scenes that were heart-warming while other times it is heart-breaking. I just can't get over the things that happened in this book, it was a rush.

Anyhoo, Jude is part of Ruby's team in the Children's League, who she views as naive and in need of protection. Jude's fourteen, even though he could pass for twelve, and is a trained yellow.
