This whole new world Ella has created is amazing and the visuals the reader can construct from her descriptions are impressive. The plot may seem straightforward but be warned, there are unexpected twists and turns, and in fact is the whole thing is a slow burner setting the reader up for the next book. At first glance you could be fooled into thinking you know all you need to know about the characters but as with anyone, there are hidden motives and behind the scenes manoeuvring which leaves questions hanging and nicely sets up the next book.
