About this deal

An opening cargo container is also available for accessories and can be removed fairly easily, providing space for another minifigure when necessary. The additional seat is not displayed in any official images but was presumably intended, otherwise this container would be integrated more closely. This option is definitely appreciated, despite the tight squeeze! The translucent red wall piece can be removed (it’s only attached to a couple of studs) to allow you to place and remove figures in the prison.

Additionally, employing this element enables the canopy to open smoothly, although access is restricted by the dorsal wing. Fortunately, another method is available. The boarding ramp and entrance are not functional, inevitably, but they are represented by one dark bluish grey 2x2 tile which seems appropriately distinctive among the surrounding components. The Havoc Marauder is the official name of the shuttle, but I cannot recall hear it referred to more than once or twice over the multiple episodes that it has appeared in. I initially approached this part of the build with quite a bit of trepidation: I have a few difficulties perceiving firm differences between blues and greys, especially when working without a reference colour. However, the instructions were easy to follow, and clear enough for me to be able to use despite

His breathing tubes are a new silver molded piece but look superb and less clunky than the previous version, and while his hat is smaller than previous variants it still looks good too. Unfortunately, the downside of this play feature is the huge amounts of exposed Technic mechanism on the final model – including odd colors such as red and blue. It’s a rather sizeable build, measuring around 40cm wide and 40cm long, plus roughly 20cm tall in flight mode. Senior Graphic Designer Madison O'Neil on creating those amazing new minifigures -- including a revealing look at Crosshair.

Open the ramp and out slides a tray of Cad Bane’s loot. There isn’t much space inside, although you can probably toss a minifigure lying down in there. The Justifier becomes even longer (though loses some of its height) when placed into landing mode – rotating the entire engine pod subassembly into a horizontal pose. The nose of the shuttle in the source material consists of a number of converging slopes, with sloped Briggs and hinged creating a variety of shapes on the front of the craft. SNOTwork. (Studs not on top) to the sides she’s the sides slope inwards as well, resulting in a relatively smooth nose. The forward cabin sits two minifigures, one in front of the other. From here, we work on the rear cabin, which attaches to the front via several technic pins. This is not a new minifigure, as he previously appeared in last year’s Bad Batch Shuttle set but he’s still a nice minifigure though, and I like the printed details on his gunmetal grey armor. Hunter also has his unique gunmetal grey helmet, which looks good. I always like it when LEGO includes both hairpieces and helmets for relevant minifigures.

Spring-loaded shooters are cleverly concealed beneath the fuselage, providing welcome play value without affecting the appearance of the shuttle. They can be accidentally activated quite easily though and the absence of landing gear is frustrating because there is definitely enough space for simple landing struts, even if they were removable instead of folding. And … that’s all the minifigs. If you’re caught up on The Clone Wars enough to be watching The Bad Batch as it airs, a key character is clearly missing from the minifig assortment: Omega. Five minifigs make sense for the price point, and of course, we would want all members of the original Clone Force 99, but the set feels incomplete without this new character. Conclusions & recommendation Todo 360, Cad Bane’s droid, also makes an appearance. He’s a single-mold figure so has no articulation, but does have some nice printed details. My thoughts exactly. Do we really need the speeders? Certainly their inclusion says to me that they wanted to charge more for what they intend to be the only Bad Batch set. Although missing Omega is very problematic, but maybe she could appear in a Microfighter set if they really don’t intend to produce more Bad Batch sets. The ingenious Bad Batch was introduced during Star Wars: The Clone Wars and possesses varied abilities, surpassing normal Clone Troopers. This impressive squad now appears during their own animated series, following the foundation of the burgeoning Galactic Empire. The first minifigure in the set is the highly anticipated Omega figure, who was notably missing from the 2021 Bad Batch Shuttle set. One weak point in the wing is this section, as the rear part of the wing is only attached with one stud on this hinge, and so grabbing the rear wing can feel a bit weak. I give the set 4/5 Arbitrary praise units. If you are a fan of the Bad Batch – whether from the final season of The Clone Wars, or their own program, you will probably get joy from this set. The final ship is quite swooshable, and I appreciate the adjustable wing angles. There is no specific cabin door, and access is by opening the roof on the vehicle. There are no specific landing gear for the vessel, with only a couple of plates on the underside of the fuselage. The first bag includes the parts for two speeder bikes. These are very standard LEGO Star Wars speeders, and we’ll return to them later in the review.

Finally Echo. Part of the 501st during the Clone Wars, Echo was missing, presumed dead. However, he had been captured and utilised by the Techno Union to provide strategic information to the Seperatists during the Anaxes Campaign. After being rescued by Captain Rex, Anakin Skywalker and the Bad Batch, he opted to join the renegade Clone Unit, continuing to be part of their ongoing adventures. Echo’s pale head is printed with silver connections, and a cybernetic implant. In the Bad Batch, Echo has a data probe in place of his right hand, and this is represented by printed arms and a grey hand. Many fans will probably buy this set for Cad Bane, but I still think the minifigure selection could have been improved. While Hunter and Fennec are both very relevant to the scene, the fact that they’re both reused figures is kind of disappointing for a set at this price point. The fourth minifigure in the set is Cad Bane himself, who makes an awesome return to LEGO form with new pieces and prints. The folding wings are composed mostly of wedge plates and attach to the Technic joint disks on the main fuselage. 1×2 plates with Technic pin holes create hinges to attach angled areas between the crew compartment and wings. A large gap remains between the wings and the nacelles to allow the wings to fold up.
