About this deal

Every second is worth its weight in gold when you're a new parent, and products that make it easy to multitask will be your new best friend. Those that choose to breastfeed will likely be spending hours a day breastfeeding and pumping, which means having the right breast pump for you can make that experience a lot more comfortable and enjoyable. Two flange sizes are provided—21 and 24 millimeters—along with a nifty try-on nipple sizing chart to determine which one to use. One of the biggest benefits of the Willow is that it has helped alleviate my mom guilt. Leaving my baby to go to work was already tough, but finding time to pump on top of that was an added stressor. However, with the Willow, I can easily fit in pump sessions without feeling guilty or overwhelmed. It has made balancing my business career and motherhood so much easier. With in-depth directions and even a compatible smart phone app, I was able to get up and running with ease.

Establishing a strong breastfeeding routine and ensuring a solid milk supply is important before incorporating pumping into your breastfeeding journey. Your body needs time to adjust, and your baby needs an opportunity to master nursing before introducing additional measures. When you pump regularly, either through nursing or pumping, you signal to your body that more milk is needed. This encourages your breasts to produce an ample supply of milk, ensuring that your baby's needs are met. So, by incorporating pumping into your routine, you can help establish and sustain healthy milk production. For a lot of moms debating whether or not to splurge on an Elvie or Willow pump, a big selling point is the ability to wear these products in your bra and pump while going about your life. I'm pretty sure I even saw an ad for one of these pumps where the model wore it inside her sports bra while holding a perfect yoga pose.

Willow 3.0 is the only wearable breast pump that makes it possible to pump into ready-to-store milk bags or reusable containers Comes with two different flange sizes - 21 and 24 millimeters - to help you find the perfect fit. And to make things even easier, they've included a handy dandy nipple sizing chart to help you figure out which size is right for you. Yes, it was designed with large breasts in mind, up to H bra cups. Does the Willow Go pump work on small breasts? Remember to feed your baby, not your freezer. It's easy to get caught up in how much milk you have stored, but the primary focus should be on providing your baby with all the milk they need. Even if you're exclusively pumping, it's important to prioritize feeding your baby directly and keep a stash of only a couple of days' worth of milk.

Price. Again,Elvie is one of the priciest pumps on the market, though you can sometimes find it on sale. Both the Willow Go and Gen 3 are cordless, fit discreetly into your bra and use an app to control the pump. The Gen 3 is better for the mom on the move since it boasts 360° mobility, according to the brand. The Go doesn't have quite the same level of flexibility. When testing the Go, Sassos noted that she could easily walk around while pumping, but even though the pump felt very secure, she couldn't bend over too much.

A small percentage of moms may experience milk with a somewhat sour, soapy scent once it is thawed; this is not harmful to your baby. The smell is due to the presence of lipase, which is an enzyme that helps break down fats. For these moms, when breast milk is kept at room temperature or in the refrigerator, their active lipase enzyme will create a stronger scent. The longer this breast milk is stored, the more lipase activity will occur. Best Willow Go Pumping Bra– I have tried a TON. For me, super tight ones work. If I am in a pinch, a sports bra will work. Uses traditional pump suction pattern where you can toggle between stimulation and expression modes. Make sure you put some of our other favorite baby items. Here are a few other items we personally own and swear by that you might want to add to your baby registry: Sassos personally tested the Elvie Double Electric Pump as well, which she noticed was quieter than the Go, but didn't have a fully clear front, so she wasn't easily able to see how much milk was being expressed in real-time without connecting to the Elvie app. Unlike the Go, the Elvie app includes a sensor that alerts the wearer to how much milk they've pumped to help monitor expression. It also lets users adjust the intensity of the suction from their phone. The bottom line: Is the Willow Go worth it?Although the Willow Go is cordless and hands-free, you don't have complete mobility while pumping which is the ultimate purpose of a portable pump. Your ability to multi-task is limited Efficiency. Elvie does the job, but even on its highest setting, it's not nearly as efficient or powerful as a hospital-grade pump, so in my experience, pump sessions take a little longer. Willow offers two hands-free, wireless pumps: the Willow 3.0 and the recently released Willow Go, the latter of which I tested for this review. Clearly, both pumps offer pros and cons, and the right choice will depend on what features are most important to you, from size to price. If I had to choose one, though, I'd opt for the Willow Go. The price pointis substantially lower and, for me, the suction was better. What's more, the ability to upgrade the bottle size to prevent any leaks if you have oversupply was super helpful. That said, the caveats are notable; its bigger size and pour-over design (rather than being able to store milk directly in the bottle like you can with Elvie) may be deterrents for some moms.
