About this deal

Light falloff is invisible, even at f/2. I've greatly exaggerated it here by shooting a gray field and presenting it against another gray field. Mechanical Shutter Approx. 6.0fps (JPEG: 220 frames, Lossless compression RAW: 21 frames, Uncompressed RAW: 18 frames) Fujifilm has spent the past 85 years building an unrivaled reputation in color science. Over the years it has developed the photographic films responsible for some of the industrys most iconic images. This vast experience has been brought together to create a unique collection of 17 digital film simulation modes, which give your images a distinctive character, straight out of camera. X100V features the full selection of currently available film simulation options, including Classic Neg. so you can find your perfect style. Fujifilm X100S - Specifications | X Series | Digital Cameras". Fujifilm USA. Archived from the original on 2013-08-26 . Retrieved 2013-09-09. I'm astounded at how well the X100 fills-in every image, and how its little flash has such great range and fast recycling. Part of this comes from the X100's 1/2,000 maximum sync speed, almost ten times better than professional DSLRs, which makes the flash ten times more effective power in daylight.

In most cases, the prizes were awarded for the combination of technology and picture quality, but the X100 has also received plaudits for its design outside the photography market, coming top of Stuff magazine's Cool List for 2011 [11] and in October 2012 receiving Good Design Award from Good Design Award (Japan). [12] Digital Photography Review gave it a score of 75% and a silver award, noting that it "combines excellent image quality, solid build and a superb viewfinder with somewhat sluggish and quirky operation", adding that "It's been much improved by multiple firmware updates since its initial incarnation, and despite its flaws, is now a very likeable camera indeed .". [13] Issues [ edit ]Continuous Shooting Mechanical Shutter Approx. 11fps (JPEG: 38 frames, Lossless compression RAW: 17 frames, Uncompressed RAW: 17 frames) When turned on, unlike an SLR or real LEICA but similar to the LEICA M9, it takes about three seconds to wake up. Likewise, when trying to wake it after it goes to sleep, expect a few seconds' delay. Shooting with the optical finder, the X100 instantly swaps to the EVF and plays what you just shot through the same finder! In 4" (10 cm) macro mode, the X100 automatically switches the the EVF to eliminate parallax entirely.

The optical finder doesn't show the 16:9 frame if you've set the image size to 16:9; you have to go into another menu and set a 16:9 graticule the hard way! Like a Porsche, no one needs a Fuji X100. The Fuji X100 is a luxury for people who want another nice camera for their collection, or to use once on their next luxury vacation. The X100 is exactly like the LEICA Minilux or Nikon 35Ti in being a nice trinket for people who own other cameras. X100V features a newly designed, incorporated 23mmF2 lens, ensuring you preserve those special moments at maximum resolution with minimal distortion. It also offers an improved close focusing performance compared to previous X100 models, and, for the first time in the X100 line, you can keep making images even in the toughest conditions when you attach the optional adapter ring and use the optional protection filter (both sold separately). This outstanding lens retains the same slim line design as other X100 models, so it retains compatibility with existing WCL and TCL lens attachments.A key feature on the new X100V is the rear touchscreen display which can now be tilted. (Image credit: Rod Lawton/Digital Camera World) Key features Mechanical Shutter Approx. 8.0fps (JPEG: 76 frames, Lossless compression RAW: 18 frames, Uncompressed RAW: 18 frames) The X100's huge dynamic range is a huge help taming the huge variations in lighting encountered in panoramas. The X100's lens is so sharp that window screens at about 8-20 feet, or other similarly fine patterns, can excite aliases. Aliases look like colored bands of interference.

The EVF is useless for previewing exposure in Manual exposure mode because it continues to vary its own gain as the subject changes. ISO dial’s collar remains up when twisting, as opposed to you having to pull it while turning on X100F The X100 is so efficient with its use of flash power that I've never had to wait for it to recycle. it's always there, and I leave it on all the time for most of my photos. It's that good. In summary, the Fujifilm X100V isn’t a workhorse camera. It can be shot professionally, but I don’t believe it’s meant to be, since the ergonomics aren’t appropriate. Optical finder has 0.52× magnification and 95% coverage, vs 0.50× magnification and 92% coverage of the X100FRyan in the bar, 06 November 2012. ( Fuji X100, built-in flash, ISO 3,200, f/2 at 1/30, HIGH saturation.) bigger. XXI TIPA AWARDS 2011". Technical Image Press Association. Archived from the original on April 24, 2011 . Retrieved April 13, 2012. Britton, Barney; Westlake, Andy. "Fujifilm X100S Review". Digital Photography Review . Retrieved 25 March 2015. When a straight-out-of-camera JPEG has colours this nice, there’s no need to shoot and edit RAWs anymore. A real DSLR shoots faster than the X100, but oddly I prefer photographing my wiggly kids while out and about with the X100 instead of lugging a DSLR. The X100's lighter weight more than makes up for its slower response; the X100 is fast enough if you know what you're doing. The X100 focuses much faster than a real LEICA. You can set the X100 for zone-focus, but you don't need to because it auto and manual focuses so fast.
