About this deal

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. If you are not 100% up to date on the Cosmere, or if you consider information revealed at signings/other events to be spoilers for future books, the rest of this review is not for you.

If you're not inclined to dig into fan theories for explanations, you'll want to have The Emperor's Soul under your belt as well to understand some foundational concepts. Once you step behind the curtain and see the actors as the people they are, it becomes harder to pretend the play is real. It was interesting to see the 'behind the scenes' of his life, for once, and even more so because the way he treated Kelsier was positively vicious. Como ya dije, este relato abarca mucho del Cosmere, y eso lo transforma en un pilar importantísimo en su concepción.Trying and failing to contact Vin because of Ruin's interference and his inexperience with Preservation's powers, Kelsier decides to instead travels to Urteau and succeeds in freeing Spook from Ruin's influence. Some things that I didn't like as much were how some parts were very disjointed and I feel like this would have very little merit for someone who is a casual Sanderson reader. It was really mind-blowing to see a bigger picture, meet familiar characters (from other books/worlds) and realize how instrumental Kelsier is to the defeat of Ruin – knowledge we readers were not privy to in Mistborn Era 1. The more familiar you are with his work the more exclamations you’ll probably make whilst reading and the more you will enjoy it. Moreover, he chose Spook - the kid who was very, very traumatized by being spiked and manipulated by Ruin - as his partner in crime.

Holds an epic speech about how he's "the Survivor" and can't be killed, until he gets rudely interrupted by a god bitch-slapping him to death.Part of why his original 'Plan B' was emotionally resonant was that over the course of the book, we saw him change somewhat - from someone who hated all nobles to the man who saved Elend's life, and from someone whose stated intention was theft to a man who ended up sacrificing himself for the sake of a revolution.

So you have Kelsier, Fuzz, and Preservation who play a major part in this interesting fast-paced novella. He decides that he might be more effective fighting Ruin somewhere else -- away from Vin and Elend -- where Ruin has less focused attention. It was not only great in filling in all of the little holes left in the first Mistborn trilogy, but also enhanced the original series.Although I'm no expert, I really enjoyed this book and found that it fit perfectly after listening to the bands of mourning. And don't get me wrong, I enjoyed him in the first book, but not nearly as much as I liked seeing people's expectations of who the hero would be get completely overturned. However, with Wax and Wayne's adventure belonging in a different timeline, and Eleventh Metal novella also being a very short entry, Secret History was to be the next logical choice. The MC here is Kelsier so if you are a fan of him, you should not miss this book as it explains a lot of thing and adds character growth to already existent ones.
