About this deal

And one of my jobs in this book was to interview our children, grandchildren, how they felt about living plant based. But that difference of some avocado nuts is a world of flavor and possibility and your tongue is so happy. Mostly, this book pays homage to the people who started it all - my parents - for forging and navigating that undiscovered path of plant-based nutrition at a time when no one understood how vital it was (including me and my siblings). We were collecting recipes and we went through all the like, "Okay, let's see what we have," mid COVID, we sort of assessed everything. Game, that you asked each family to do, or each person to do, which was, you've got to be a vegetable.

And I'm not trying to disclude my dad, who's the foundation of it all, or my brothers, especially Rip, who's launched me into this space by including me on the first cookbook, but I'm so excited to have done this with my mother. But Plant-Strong, same exact guidelines, but we do use a little bit of avocado and some nuts and some sauces in particular and some desserts. As I'm writing this I've just pulled their veggie lasagna (layers of mushrooms, carrots, peppers, spinach, and tofu ricotta alternating with mashed sweet potatoes) out of the oven and have some brussel sprouts tossed with nutritional yeast, hot sauce, and vinegar cooking.

They didn't have any brain space about what they were eating and how it affected their body size and what they looked like or how they felt or what fit them anymore. It's the only male thing in this book, my husband's arm, because he cooks all these amazing foods better than all of us. When our kids are home from college, sometimes they say, "We're going to uncle Essy's house he's going to make those open-face potatoes. So we had this project to work on and food to share all throughout the last, well, it's been three years now, but it's been in production for a year. Their energy, glowing health, and joyful vibes--not to mention their delicious food--make them the ideal traveling companions on an empowering, kick-butt, Plant-Based Woman Warrior journey.

Most ingredients are readily available in UK supermarkets, with the exception of a few things, like TraderJoe’s seasoning blend (I bet there’s a recipe for that on line somewhere) Jane and Ann look like wonderful, positive women and I want them to adopt me.The “Julia Child of plant-based cooking” teams up with her daughter to offer a multigenerational celebration of the power of a plant-based lifestyle—with 125 recipes.

Because we actually do use some sort of sauce, hummus, dressing, salsa or a guacamole in everything thereafter. At 86 and 56, respectively, Ann and Jane are pictures of ageless health and vibrancy and spend their days hiking, doing yoga, gardening, cooking, and spreading the message that diet is the key to living a happy, strong, and disease-free life. And it is a world of difference for those patients who can really stick on those guidelines of no meat, no oil, no dairy and no nuts and avocado if they have heart disease.
