About this deal

You can put it on wet surfaces but it's a lot easier if they're dry - if it's still leaking, I find it much harder to get a good seal, and it definitely won't work if the system is under pressure, but other than that, it's worked every time for me. reminded me about the time i was painting and got more gloss paint on my hands than on the job, without thinking i picked up the bottle of brush cleaner/paint stripper and doused my hands in it and rubbed them together as you would with soap and then seconds later my brain responding to signals from my hands telling me that they were on fire and glowing bright red! It is the superglue of sealants, and is not removed by water even when fresh from the tube (well durr! Can it be put on rad tails on top of ptfe tape and can it be used on olives between the tvr, copper pipes and rads etc. LS-X is a proven, fast acting, silicone paste which is used as an effective external leak sealer and jointing compound.

Great product to keep in the van, will get you out of a tight spot with those annoying little weeps on compression joints. This is just like aquarium sealant, which works out cheaper, but requires a caulk gun, and I didn't want to have to use one every time I want to seal a joint. Lead times are shown on the product and trolley pages and are always advertised in working days (Monday to Friday). Steve B wrote:It's food safe - I've used it to seal things in my brewing setup - no discernible off tastes or anything that I've noticed. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .Good and bad really, can get you out of a situation if a small leak appears but honestly if it’s more than a very small weep it won’t seal.

I've always been pretty careful about such things too, but to be frank I'm beginning to think there's very little that's utterly safe - I'm increasingly just going for what seems pragmatic. All I see is LSX plastered all over boilers in an attempt to stop leaks instead of a fibre washer or O ring being replaced. Fernox are the originals and a few other manufacturers produce similar now but to be honest I’m sure normal silicone would work just as well.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Apply LS-X direct from the tube and mould into shape using a spatula or knife previously dipped into soapy water to prevent adhesion or dragging. It also sticks to most surfaces, including to PP (polypropylene plastic) - tried other solutions, but none worked as well as this. For threads u want 18 or so wraps of ptfe and then a smear of LS-X, and then it’s perfect for smearing round the olives too.If you need to seal a little weep on a fitting or boiler part till you can replace it works a treat and you can apply it wet and it sets up in 30 minutes.
