As the lips, nose and ears tend to be areas where the blood flows quite close to the surface (in humans at any rate), I figured these might benefit from a slightly warmer skin tone. But as the Emperor’s Champion fights in the thick of it, I imagined that these artefacts must have been repaired and modified over time. Known for their relentless pursuit of justice and their unyielding dedication to the Emperor, the Black Templars exemplify the grim determination of the Space Marines. I gave the skin a coat of Athonian Camoshade, it dulled the skin down quite a bit but it is my only green wash.

This dynamic diorama is only available during this year’s festivities which start on the 8th of October when it all kicks off. The helmet is different from the previous iteration, but it’s reminiscent of Helbrecht’s or the crusader’s helm from the Black Templars upgrade kit. They did a pretty decent job of covering up their mold lines, but there will still be a few you have to take care of. Festooned with details, including a huge variety of different textures and materials, an option for a stylized helmet or bare head, plus a fully sculpted display base.This set contains 29 cards for your faction’s units, terrain, and endless spells, plus 35 pop-out tokens to track aetherquartz, battle tactics, and more. With that done I could then begin using lighter colours to really bring out the texture of the model. For the sword, I quickly base coated the handle with Screamer Pink and washed it with Nuln Oil before moving onto the metallics.
