It's a lovely malty whiskey with Cooley's signature honey and pear notes as well as a beautiful waft of smoke. Tasting Notes: Nose is smooth with a honey sweet start, followed by malt and fruit flavours giving way to full bodied peat. The Distillers Edition is crafted by aging small batches of Connemara in Oloroso sherry casks to bring about a complex composition of peat, malt, honey, wood, and silky smoothness typical of a much older whiskey. The smoke rising through the malted barley during this drying process confers the whiskey with a distinct peaty flavour and aroma. Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey captures the beauty of this region while reviving its traditions.
