About this deal

I was afraid Michelle was about to knock me on the head with her Kindle if I didn’t, ’cause that poor girl (and SO many of you Ryder-lovers) were appalled with me for “floating” this one for so long. I can’t remember their reasoning in the beginning of exactly why she was the only obvious one for the job – especially considering how much she despised the Fae, but there it is.

My gosh 'Fighting Destiny' is addictive and sexy, stimulating in all kinds of ways, and Amelia Hutchins just has a way of telling a story without overproduction and fanfare that is enticing within its absolute core. I did read the next 2 books which did get better and help to explain more about Syn and Ryder and the Fae overall. I got it for FREE and and it is the first book in my quest to kill my tbr of free/sale books that I have currently overloading my kindle. I am new to the paranormal (having only read the Twilight series, BDB series and now Fighting Destiny).

Ryder's character has to be taken with a pinch of salt, and one must hold out hope that he is the kind of character that is going to go through the most development and evolution because he direly needs it. When Syn, a kick-ass-heroine witch, started working out on a strange assignment, lead to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of their times. through the book, and Ryder had "fae-fucked" Syn twice, which is essentially bending her will and body, and making her so insanely horny, she is begging him to fuck her (despite the fact that she hates him and all fae). The Fae are powerful, immortal, highly sexual, sensual, merciless, unnaturally beautiful, ageless creatures.

But he has these startlingly obscure moments of gentleness and only rarely does he let his mask slip, so we barely see another side to him – I want to see more of that Ryder – if only so it would stop me from pulling my hair out because he is making it remarkably difficult to like him. What started out as a strange assignment, leads to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our times and my friends and I are set and determined to find out who is killing off Fae and Witches alike. If you want to read something that will stay with you and have the time and energy for it GO FOR IT.

every time he touches me or looks at me with those dangerous golden eyes he seems to pull me further in under his spell, despite my better judgment. She is now 21 years old and her uncle/mentor sends her on a mission for the Dark Prince of the Fae- Ryder. Also, you would notice I left the punctuation as I read it, so there is literally no comma before any names or terms of (dubious) endearment in any of the dialogues. Yep, agreed, at least in regards to the cliffhanger question… If you ask me, I’d say this WAS a complete book. There aren’t enough stars on Goodreads for this series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t recommend it enough.Written in my Own Heart’s Blood)… it’s the ONLY one in that series, besides the first book, that I would re-read! For me, I was getting a mixed feel of “The Fever Series” and “Dark Light” (both of which I LOVED like crazy).
