About this deal

Hush serves as a fantastic jumping-on point for new readers who just want to get into modern day Batman without doing homework on all the versions that came before. It introduces all the major players and elements while still delivering a satisfying mystery for existing fans to follow along. At the end of it, pretty much every character is left with some new narrative force. While it has its detractors, and some parts haven’t aged great, it’s still a solid arc that managed to inject some much needed energy to the long-running title. The particulars of “Time and the Batman”get quite timey-wimey. If you really want the full ordeal, I recommend the CBH Morrison Batman guide. Collects: Batman #8-9, Batman Annual #1, Detective Comics #9, Batman: The Dark Knight #9, Batwing #9, Batman and Robin #9, Red Hood and the Outlaws #9, Birds of Prey #9, Batgirl #9, Nightwing #8-9, and All-Star Western #9 The iconic tales of Batman from the classic Silver Age collected for the first time in this incredible omnibus! The Killing Joke is the increasingly controversial graphic novel from Alan Moore and Brian Bolland. In my opinion, Moore is the best comic book writer of all time, and while this isn’t his best work, it’s a formative Batman graphic novel, with lasting ramifications for Batman, Joker, and the Gordon family.

Meet the team of villains who never lose–"The Unkillables"! Witness "The Revolt Of The Super-Pets"! Discover "Chameleon Boy's Secret Identity"! And unravel the mystery of "The Legionnaires Who Never Were"! Tales of the Demon marks a more immediate introduction to Rah’s Al Ghul and Talia Al Ghul, and features the creative pairing of Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams. Note that this overlaps with the above Neal Adams artist edition. For all intents and purposes, Grant Morrison’s extended run on Batman continues with the New 52 Batman, Inc. The series essentially continues operating as if the New 52 never happened, which is totally cool if you enjoyed Batman, Inc. to begin with.

The only thing keeping the vamps from turning Gotham into a buffet is Batman. One problem -- he's been infected too. Batman has often been called a creature of the night. In Red Rain, that's literal. Batman's challenge is two-fold: Stop the vamps from taking over the city and resist the urge to break his "one rule" and feed on another human being. I have HC 2 and 3 and then everything in single issues (but I would buy an absolute Zero year in a heartbeat). But as it turns out, the best part of this massive crossover didn’t involve The Flash himself, but rather Batman.

Following the events ofCrisis on Infinite Earths, comic book superstar John Byrne reimagined Superman for a brand-new era–in bold tales collected here in omnibus format! Starting with the six-issueMan of Steelminiseries, Byrne fundamentally changed Superman's origins and propelled him into the present, including iconic encounters with Lex Luthor, Metallo, Darkseid–and The Joker! Aquaman, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey, Batman, Batman Beyond, Blue Beetle, Constantine the Hellblazer, Cyborg, DC Universe, Deathstroke, The Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps, Justice League, Nightwing, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Suicide Squad, Supergirl, Superman, Titans, Teen Titans, Wonder Woman A nasty little character study of the Clown Prince of Crime, delivered by the always excellent Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo. This gets a little intense. Dark Nights: Death Metal Robin King #1, Dark Nights: Death Metal The Last 52: War of the Multiverses #1 Now possessed by Genesis–the unholy offspring of an angel and demon–Jesse holds Word of God, an ability to command anyone or anything with a mere utterance. And he'll use this power to hold the Lord accountable for the people He has forsaken. I though GJ did a solid job with his Flash run. I am not a huge DC guy so I don't have much to compare it to but with his Flash run, he took a bunch of ridiculous villains and made them.... less laughable? I also wasn't terribly sold on Wally as the Flash but by the end of the 2nd Omnibus I had basically forgotten about Barry.
