On the other hand you get a clever product in return with many accessories and a 7-year warranty. Looking at that I can only say that it is definitely worth the investment. My conclusion: It features a colour rendering index of 80, which is higher than the CORE but less than the WORK, providing a good middle ground between the two. The higher CRI means the beam resembles that of morning sunlight, making colours appear more clearly to the human eye and also reducing eye strain. Construction quality and finish are amazing; I cannot find anything wrong with this Ledlenser trio. The fact that the manufacturer gives a 7-year warranty also says a lot! When and how: Once installed the battery can be charged inside the torch via the magnetic charging point located on the underside. Connect the magnetic end of the included cable to the charging point, and the standard USB at the other end plugs into a suitable USB port or adaptor. The LED indicator built into the button will glow red while charging is in progress and turn green to show charging is complete after approximately 4 hours, 30 minutes for a full charge. The torch can also be charged wall mounted by attaching the included mount to a wall and placing the magnetic charger in the base, then clipping the torch to it to charge. It offers a 1200 lumen output on the power setting with a 200 metre beam distance. (Boost mode can be activated when more light is needed, offering 2000 lumens for a short time when you need it most). The P7R Signature includes innovative light focus technology for improved performance and range. The high CRI rating offers natural colour rendering while the red secondary light on the side of the torch helps maintain night vision.
The light image of this trio is almost identical which is not surprising with the same type of reflector and head. You do see that the Signature and Work have a larger light source, which results in a larger hotspot. The most remarkable is the divergent light colour of the P7R Work with its neutral-white colour temperature of 4000 Kelvin. This colour provides you with an even better colour rendering at night, but generally has less 'power' than the cold-white shade of the P7R Core and Signature. Because pictures say more than words I made some comparison photos of the trio.

The brand new SIGNATURE Series is here, and the P7R SIGNATURE is a rechargeable hand torch that offers a 10 seconds boost output with a maximum of 2000 lumens, and a high constant output of 1200 lumens. Tested using the included 4800 mAh 21700 lithium-ion rechargeable battery. These results may vary between torch, battery, environment and individual usage habits.
