Instant Colours are more interesting because the range has a lot of muted and unusual colours to choose from. Since receiving these paints I’ve started using them as a permanent fixture in my painting toolbelt. It isn’t a bright gold like Aztec gold pieces, but it’s a more realistic worn down gold that’s perfect for painting armour or busts. I found that a coat of varnish helps to fix the problem, but you have to be careful, as the varnish can reactivate the Speedpaints as well. I’ve also used it to good effect on the black rubber seals present on Space Marine and Clone Trooper armor. This technique can be accomplished with our Colour Primer Sprays or our Air Primers and is a useful technique for applying basecoats, Quickshade Washes, Speedpaint, and other airbrush layers.I’ve been incredibly slammed with the school year, but that made the Speed Paints a welcome addition to my life.
