Sunday Sermons in Lent are on the theme of the Eucharist

The theme will be explored in sermons at St Mary's Kidlington and St Mary's Hampton Poyle, and in addresses before Sunday night Compline in St Mary's Kidlington. At St John's Kidlington, there will be a congregational discussion each week on the given title.

Lent Groups

Our Lent groups will follow the Pilgrim Course series on The Eucharist

The Making Group

will meet on Wednesdays at 7.30pm in St Mary's Refectory, staring on 17th February. Each week we will reflect on the theme and make something in response to it. We will bake bread, make a last supper table, and an outdoor installation for the Lenten journey. NB you don't have to be a creative genius - just ready to have a go!

The Evening Reflection Group

will meet on Mondays at 7.30pm in St Mary's Refectory starting on 15th February.

Monday-Thursday Ecumenical Prayer Vigil
  • St Mary's Kidlington is open Mon-Thurs 9am-9pm There will be resources there to help you pray - come and go as you wish. Please consider signing up to be there for one hour on the calendar at the back of St Mary's. Let's keep prayer going all week.

  • 8.00pm Agape meal with washing of feet and vigil until midnight at St Mary's K. (A dramatic and less formal keeping of the evening's events.)
Good Friday 26th March
  • 12-3pm 3 hours around the cross at St Mary's Kidlington
    Words, music and silence. Come and go as you need.
  • 2.00pm Reflections at the cross at St John's
  • 4.00pm Children's service at St John's
Easter Day 27th March
  • 6am Dawn Mass at St Mary's Hampton Poyle
    The Easter fire with blessing of light, first mass of Easter, and then procession across the fields to cooked breakfast at St Mary's Kidlington.
