About this deal

Wii Remotes sync with the DolphinBar, and once they're synced a mere press of a button on the Wiimote is all that's required to connect it, just like the Wii. If continuous scanning is enabled and a RealWiimote is set up, when you start a game Dolphin will automatically connect the Wiimotes. No more guides, no more having mess with Bluetooth settings, no more having to press the sync button every time; just press a button and go, exactly how the Wii behaves. It makes using Wii Remotes on Dolphin just as easy as using them on a real Wii; we can't ask for more than that!

Although the KIMILAR Replacement Wii Motion Sensor Bar is wired and not wireless, we were intrigued to see how it would measure up. It’s an exact working replica of the OEM Nintendo Wii Motion Sensor Bar. From the get-go, it was evident that this was a no-fuss, straightforward gadget. With a fully-wired connection, we were spared the hassle of dealing with batteries – just plug it in and you’re ready to play. If you want to use a real GameCube controller in Dolphin, there are multiple options. There are many PC based USB adapters that allow use to use GameCube controllers as standard controllers that can be configured in Dolphin for the "Standard Controller" GameCube option and the "Emulated Wii Remote" option. I don't know if separating the ir led's further would increase the accuracy. It's kind of strange they all have the same length. If increasing that would make things better, you would expect some chinese companies that bring out longer sensor bar's. Just the extra plastic and a bit longer wires won't make it more expensive. When we first got our hands on the SOONORY Replacement Wii Wireless Sensor Bar, we were eager to see if it lived up to its promises. Right out of the box, we loved how it was completely wire-free, running off 4 AAA batteries that were included. Setting it up was a breeze. Within minutes, we had an IR field spanning up to 10 feet, ready to capture our every move.

When you boot up Dolphin it won’t know about any of your games. First we need to tell it where the game files are stored. Remember the days when playing on your Nintendo Wii meant being tethered to a wired motion sensor bar? Times have changed. Wireless Wii motion sensor bars are now the norm. Try to put all your games into a Wii games folder. Dolphin needs to be told what folders you’re using for your games files so having them in the one place will make it easier. Again if you’re using LaunchBox use the Wii folder in the Games folder. Running a Game in Dolphin Update: Due to problems of the IR LEDs burning out from staying on too long, the v5 firmware released in late 2015 turns off the DolphinBar's IR LED lights when they are not needed, such as when no Wiimotes are connected or when the DolphinBar is in a mode where the pointer cannot be used. But unlike the old problematic sensor bars that turned off after a set time, the DolphinBar knows when the wiimote is being used, so it presents no problems. To anyone who hasn't updated their DolphinBars to a version with this feature, we definitely recommend that they do so. The Dolphin emulator lets you turn your PC into both the Wii and the GameCube. The Wii was fully compatible with GameCube games so the two system are very closely related.

Speaking of USB compatibility, this MayFlash sensor bar connector has a USB plug that allows it to easily connect to your computer and be used for emulation. It’s compatible with the original Wiimote and Nunchuk along with the Wii classic controller as well. connecting the 2 bar's in parallel together shouldn't make them weaker. The sensor bar led's can be switched on and off, and usually the component doing the switching can only hande a limited amount of current. It might be largely over dimensionned so that it works, but without knowing which component they used, and without knowing how it sit's in the circuits, you can't tell for sure.If you’re on a more powerful machine you can change the display render quality on the enhancements tab to get smoother graphics, or, as I prefer, leave them at native resolution for a more authentic console feel. With the release of Smash 4 for Wii U, Nintendo created a new type of standardized GameCube to USB adapter to allow the classic GameCube controllers to be used on their (then) latest console. Soon, not only were there official versions of these adapters, but also tons of third party adapters. Because these use a standardized interface, Dolphin can use these adapters along with LibUSB to directly pass the GameCube controller to the emulated game. This bypasses the need to configure your GameCube controller, but also means that it can only be used as a "Native GameCube Controller" without third party drivers for their adapters. If you don't have a Wii sensor bar, you can use two lit candles placed approximately the same distance apart as the sensor bar. In the Wii settings, select whether the candles are above or below the TV, just like you would for the sensor bar. Point the WiiMote between the two candles, and the pointer will respond on the screen as usual. 2. What does the Wii sensor bar do?

You can also adjust the handset speaker volume and turn on and off the handset rumble feature. Emulation Settings

Installing the Dolphin Emulator

The continious forward current of a led usually is between 10 and 20 milli amps. By placing led's in serie, the current doesn't increase and the power loss in the serie resistor becomes lower. While the history of this device is interesting, the hard work from both sides wouldn't matter much if the device can't deliver. Let's see if the DolphinBar can fulfill its potential as an all-in-one Dolphin accessory. Last on our list is the Aokin USB sensor bar. It works with the original Wii, the Wii U, and for those looking to emulate their Wii games on their PC using Dolphin. The sensor bar maintained the classic silver color of the original Nintendo version, ensuring it blended seamlessly with our setup. Its 7.5-foot cable provided ample reach, giving us the flexibility to position it exactly where we needed. We tested it on both Wii and Wii U consoles, and it performed flawlessly, without any compatibility issues. So in this video I’m going to show you how we can emulate the complete Wii experience using your PC. For this you are going to have to buy some specialist parts as your normal controllers just won’t give you the full experience. There are some games you can play with something like an Xbox controller, but you’ll be missing out on the whole point of gaming on the Wii. Parts You’ll Need
